Questions, answered.
Wallets, USDC payments, refunds, privacy and support.
Do I need an account or API key?
No. The wallet signs an x402 payment authorization for each call. Console sign-in is read-only wallet identity verification.
How is the price calculated?
Default pricing is provider cost × 1.03 + 0.001 USDC. The catalog and the request’s 402 quote are authoritative. With upto, where supported, you sign a ceiling and pay actual usage; exact is a fixed quote.
What happens if settlement is unknown?
A 503 settlement_unknown means the outcome is not yet confirmed. Retry only with the same PAYMENT-SIGNATURE; never sign a second payment. Every reserved-payment error identifies charged: true, false or null and a payment ID.
How do refunds work?
On some networks, and for async video jobs, the payment settles before the model runs; if the model then fails, a refund is owed. The payment is marked refund_due. An operator sends the refund; Console shows Refund sent only once a refund transaction is recorded.
Which networks can I use?
Check the offers in the 402 response for currently enabled networks. The browser Playground uses its configured payment network; API clients can support other offered networks.
Is there a Synal token?
No. Payments use USDC. There is no Synal token, airdrop, points program or promised reward.
Is my content stored?
Requests go to the selected provider. Synal retains payment and usage records. Prompt and response previews are optional through Console Settings (log_prompts). Review the privacy policy before sending sensitive data.
How do I get help?
Send an X DM to @synallabs with your payment ID and wallet address. Do not post these details publicly. We never ask for a seed phrase or private key.
Where do I get test USDC?
Get test USDC from a public testnet faucet. Choose a test network offered by the API. If your wallet requires an approval transaction, you may also need test tokens for its transaction fee.
